A project by the School of Philology, Linguistics and Literature of the University of Costa Rica in the framework of its social action activities.
Coordinator: Carlos Sánchez Avendaño
Assistant: Luis Fernando Solano
Mission
The DIPALICORI platform (Diversity and linguistic heritage of Costa Rica) has two functions:
1) It is a repository of various materials (books, songs, audios, documentaries, photographic and video documentation, dictionaries, teaching materials, etc.) in the different languages spoken in the territory of the present Republic of Costa Rica. All these materials can be consulted and downloaded for free. They can also be used, provided that the authorship is respected and credited. Most of these materials have been created in the framework of the projects "Linguistic Diversity of Costa Rica" and "Languages and Oral Traditions of Costa Rica", both affiliated with the School of Philology, Linguistics and Literature and the Vice-Rectorate of Social Action of the University of Costa Rica. However, other materials that were created outside these projects and have been kindly deposited by their authors can also be found here.
2) The platform also functions as a centre for information about the cultures, languages and oral traditions of different peoples living in the current Costa Rican territory. In this regard, those who visit the website are provided with information about each community and are suggested other sites, links or documents where they can find more information about their topics of interest.
